Well hello April, and hi everyone!

In this blog, I’m hoping to give you 6 Spring Cleaning Recipes using Momma Jane’s Cleaners to help refresh the dull normal “Spring Cleaning” with simplicity and lemon goodness. I share some cleaning rituals, chit chat about science and cleaning, get personal on our war with ISO, and talk about a GIVEAWAY!

Can you believe we are already a fourth of the way through the year?! It feels like just yesterday we were cleaning for the New Year, and now the flowers are starting to peek through and tis the season for windows and door staying open. With 2026, I want to be more intentional with you and our blogs, more like we were two friends who were catching up over coffee, sharing real cleaning secrets, and all the goals we hope to accomplish.

First up, let’s get to the deets, some of my favorite ways to get  spring cleaning started.

6 Spring Cleaning Recipes using Momma Jane’s Cleaners

6 spring cleaning recipes | Momma Jane's Cleaner

1. The “Cookout Ready” Grill Grate Soak

  • The Target: Built up grease and carbon on grill grates.

  • The Recipe: Drop some Momma Jane’s Sticky or Resin Cleaner over the grates while they are cool. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes to let the lemon oils break down the fats.

  • The Momma Tip: Use a stiff brush to scrub the grime away, then rinse with warm water. Since it’s plant based, you don’t have to worry about “chemical fumes” the next time you light the fire!

2. The “Patio Glow”

  • The Target: Tree sap, pollen, and “winter dust” on outdoor chairs and tables.

  • The Recipe: For spot cleaning sap or bird messes, use a drop of  Momma Jane’s Sticky or Resin  Cleaner on our microfiber cloth. For a general refresh, use Momma Jane’s All Purpose Cleaner.

  • The Momma Tip: Wipe in a circular motion to bring back the natural shine of the wood or metal. It leaves a scent that invites the neighbors over rather than chasing them away.

3. The “Clean Slate” Refresher

  • The Target: “Ghosting” on whiteboards, base boards, or chalkboards in the home.

  • The Recipe: Spray Momma Jane’s All Purpose Cleaner onto a soft cloth. Wipe the boards clean.

  • The Momma Tip: If you have stubborn, old marker stains that won’t budge, use a tiny dab of the Momma Jane’s Sticky or Resin Cleaner first, then finish with the All Purpose for a streak-free shine.

4. The “No-Trace” Label Remover

  • The Target: Annoying sticky or adhesive residue on thrifted finds, summer gear, or kids’ toys.

  • The Recipe: Apply 1–2 drops of Momma Jane’s Sticky or Resin Cleaner directly onto the sticky residue. Let it sit for 60+ seconds.

  • The Momma Tip: Use a plastic scraper or your thumbnail to slide the gunk right off. Wipe clean with a damp paper towel. It’s like the sticker was never there!

5. The “Smooth Glide” Window & Door Track Clean

  • The Target: Gunk, pet hair, and dirt trapped in the tracks of sliding doors and windows.

  • The Recipe: Spray Momma Jane’s All Purpose Cleaner into the tracks. For the corners where gunk gets “stuck,” use a cotton swab dipped in Momma Jane’s Sticky or Resin Cleaner.

  • The Momma Tip: Wipe the tracks dry with an old rag. You’ll be amazed at how much easier your doors slide open to let that April breeze in.

6. The Cleaning Line Up

  • The Target: All of the Resin, Rosin, concentrated, or other sticky coated pieces or accessories.

  • The Recipe: Coat the sticky situations with Momma Jane’s Resin or Sticky Cleaner. After letting the cleaner kiss the grime, add hot water to soak for 2+ minutes. Rinse with warm water and admire all of your beautiful pieces.

  • The Momma Tip: Make cleaning your glass part of your nightly wind down. It only takes a few minutes, but you’ll find a clean piece tonight is a gift to yourself tomorrow.

Momma’s Daily Rhythm:

Okay, to be fair we shouldn’t wait for  Spring cleaning to treat ourselves to a fresh environment, a little bit of daily care prevents those big, exhausting weekend chores. And when you incorporate Momma Jane’s Cleaners into your daily rhythm, you aren’t just cleaning, you’re setting the stage for your next moment of peace.

The Night Refresh

Once the kids are in bed and I get a moment to take in a deep breath for myself, the house usually feels a little… chaotic. This is my favorite time for a reset.

  • For the Kitchen: I use a quick spritz of the Momma Jane’s All-Purpose Cleaner on the counters to brush off the crumbs and wipe down the ice cream droplets from dessert. It leaves the kitchen smelling like a bright lemon grove instead of a messy morning.

  • For your Ritual: After my last hit of the day, I take the 2 minutes to give my most used glass piece a quick rinse with Momma Jane’s Sticky or Resin Cleaner. Clearing away the day’s residue means that when I finally get a moment to myself tomorrow, everything will be sparkling and ready. It’s like making my bed, it just makes the whole day feel more intentional.

A Cleaning Hack

Keep a bottle of Momma Jane’s Sticky or Resin Cleaner near your kitchen sink. If you’ve been prepping herbs for dinner or grinding  some flower of your next bowl, a drop of the Resin or Sticky Cleaner on your fingertips takes that tacky feeling away instantly.

Plus add a drop to the counter and do a quick wipe of the tabletop after your session, to ensure that “sticky” never has a chance to settle, keeping your space welcoming for whoever walks through the door next.

The Science of the “Clean Slate”

Ever wonder why you feel so much better after a deep cleaning session? It’s not just in your head it’s in your biology. Research published in Social Psychological and Personality Science shows that cleaning acts as a “sensorimotor grounding” technique. When the world feels unpredictable, the rhythmic, tactile nature of cleaning or wiping provides your brain with a concrete sense of control, significantly lowering both psychological stress and physical heart rate.

From Chore to Ritual

By shifting from a mindless habit to an intentional ritual, you turn a mundane task into a restorative break. Using cleaners with transparent, plant based ingredients adds a sensory layer to this process, allowing you to focus on the fresh smells and the safety of your space rather than harsh chemicals.

According to a study published in Social Psychological and Personality Science (and archived on PMC), both actual and simulated cleaning can significantly attenuate the physiological and psychological effects of stressful events.

Curious about the data? You can read the full study on Actual and Simulated Cleaning via PubMed Central.

A Heart to Heart on “Clean”

So you may have seen, we are going to war with ISO. One of the biggest challenges facing the cannabis industry right now is the disconnect between a natural product and a chemical cleaning process. For decades, the “tried and true” method has been soaking tools in unknown cleaning solutions or ISO with recommendations of using gloves. Which is effective, but it’s abrasive, the fumes are unpleasant, and it just doesn’t align with the wellness focused nature of this plan. People are set in their ways because they’ve been taught that “chemical” equals “clean.”

* Let’s be clear, this isn’t just in the cannabis industry, but rather the cleaning industry as a whole.

But I’m here to tell you as a mother and a founder, that you don’t have to sacrifice your health or your senses to have a clean piece. We’ve changed the smell from a laboratory to a garden. We aren’t just selling a cleaner; we’re offering a safer, more mindful way to enjoy your plants.

We can create a future where “cleaning your piece” isn’t something you hide away in the kitchen sink, it’s a wellness practice you actually look forward to. Whether you’re a business owner dreaming of a high end consumption lounge or a connoisseur creating a sanctuary at home, the environment matters.

Think about it: one can’t truly enjoy a beautiful home ritual if the tools are sticky or the air smells like a hospital. The innovation in our industry isn’t just in the plant itself anymore; it’s in how we care for the experience. By choosing a botanical garden over a chemistry lab, we’re stepping into a nature focused future together.

The tools we use to enjoy this plant deserve to be treated with as much natural care as the plant itself.

As you tackle those 6 Spring Cleaning Recipes, I encourage you to choose the gentler path with Momma Jane’s Cleaners. Let’s make our spaces a little kinder and a lot fresher one lemon at a time.

**When you purchase any Momma Jane’s Cleaner this month and share your experience in a review, you’ll be automatically entered to win our Forever Bundle.

Your reviews aren’t just stars on a page, they are the “word of mouth” that keeps this small business blooming. They help us reach more like minded people who are looking for a better way to clean, and I am so grateful for your support as we grow together.
